Ingredients:
- Bar Harbor Foods® Sardines (drained)
- Puff pastry sheets, thawed
- Butter, softened
- Chili crisp (adjust for heat preference)
- Micro greens or fresh parsley or chives for garnish
- Lemon zest (optional, for brightness)
Assembly:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Mix softened butter with sardines, mashed.
- Cut puff pastry into small squares or rectangles.
- Bake 12–15 min, until golden and puffed.
- Spread/pile the fish/butter mixture on each square.
- Top with Chili sauce or Chili crisp.
- Garnish with micro greens or parsley/chives and a light sprinkle of lemon zest.
Serve: Hot from the oven as elegant, bite-sized appetizers or at room temperature if you prefer.
